The other day, I managed to catch bits Kabhi Alvida naa Kehna (Kanker) on TV - the first time since I saw the film when it was launched in 2006 - and remembered how I was disappointed after seeing it. It's not like a bad movie or anything like that, but in view of its interesting plot, failed to rise above the multi-artist, ended up being stars.Four years later, the last kanker film director Karan Johar, My Name Is Khan (MNIK), suffers a similar problem. It has everything a leader needs to implement a great vision - an interesting plot (Shibani Kashyap is the story / screenplay credit), good actors, great production values (art direction, locations, etc.), movies, and is technically higher (K Ravi Chandran is a treatment). And it is quite entertaining, too.
But unfortunately, MNIK ends up somewhere between a film with a higher claim that the attacks on his honesty and a movie with typical ornamentation, which is annoying as regards the film as a "Bollywood".
MNIK is pretty good but not great piece of film that could have been.Shahrukh 'Rizvan' Khan suffering from Asperger syndrome, a disorder that makes it difficult for people to interact socially, and comes to live with his younger brother (Shergill) in the United States after his mother dies.
There he met stylist Mandira (Kajol), a free-spirited woman who lives with his six-year-old son, Sam, a failed marriage. While Mandira Rizvan love she will also be happy good-natured Rizvan. An unlikely romance later marries Rizvan Mandira. When his mother dies, Rizwan moving to America to live with his nasty brother (Jimmy Shergill) and his wife species (Sonya Jehan). While Rizwan has difficulty adapting to the environment occupied, he gets a job at his brothers and believe it or not "shop in shop seller of beauty products. Misrepresentation of a yellow zebra crossing and nearly killed by getting a "rapid tram" His life is saved by Mandira (Kajol). Mandira, a single mother working in a beauty salon and adopted by the honesty Rizwan, buy a wide range of products.
The beauty is more than skin deep and there is a romance between the two. Mandira Sun Rizwan Sameer charm and before Rizwan can say, "Marry Me" for the 100th time, Mandira and married him. But Khan family portrait happy not for long. He turned abruptly at the attacks on 9 / 11 WTC incident and a strike on the village school is fatal for Sameer. A distraught Rizwan Mandira blamed for killing her son and begins to hate the name Khan. When Rizwan Mandira decides to leave, offered to go himself. The love story between Mandira and Rizvan, pre-interval, it is nice in places, but makes it much more throughout the film to be installed in her palace. When this happens, however, is a clock MNIK weight.
The scene shows Sam fights with bullies and their implications, as their attention and gives a spectacular second half. Some sequences of chord tug in the film and moves you and leaves you feeling of fullness in the end. What adds to the enjoyment is the performance of real-life Khan. Shahrukh, as a person suffering from a disease, you get the justice. His body language and expressions are great. Some might find their voice, monotonous, but Shahrukh instill this aspect of his character well enough to stop glasses after a while.N Karan Johar, directed monologue would be complete without a Shahrukh Khan. Be prepared to be bombarded with a couple, too. But fortunately Khan nails every time.My Name Is Khan is a film made with sincerity and sweat, ambition and conviction. He faces the most urgent issue facing humanity and full-religion. It has a surprising performance by Shahrukh Khan.It has some scenes that will beat you. Despite all this, my name is Khan never becomes empowering, inspiring Forest Gump-like epic. Especially because the connective tissue binding together is very poor and in some places, painfully naive.Khan is the story of Rizwan Khan, played by Shahrukh, who has Asperger syndrome. This milder form of autism that affects social communication skills Rizwan and gives some decidedly odd behavior - can not tolerate loud sounds or yellow.Turn over rocks and hardly human dares to hug someone. Rizwan is far from crazy, but it certainly moves to the beat of a different drum. But it takes love and a family with Mandira, played by Kajol.
